Application Process for Histotechnology Associate Degree Program
Step 1: Complete the Application Pre-Screen.
Complete the Histotechnology Program Application Applicants should send a copy of all previous college or university transcripts (unofficial versions are accepted) by email to email@example.com. The program director will evaluate the applicant’s academic background and determine if he or she qualifies for admission to the program. After the candidate receives a pre-admission letter, (s)he can progress to Step 2. Note: Applicants typically wait to apply to the university until all program course prerequisites are finished (or in progress).
Step 2: Apply online at IUPUI Office of Admission.
Apply online through the IUPUI Office of Admissions. When completing the application, choose Histotechnology (Associate) as the planned major.
Applications for the Histotechnology Associates Program are accepted year round. Please see specific deadlines for submitting a complete application packet. Dual start dates are available: November 1 for Spring Enrollment; March 15 for Summer Enrollment. Capstone course (PATH-H 201) is typically offered only in the spring semester or summer term.
As part of the IUPUI application process, applicants must submit official copies of their prior college or university transcripts and pay an application fee. Transcripts previously submitted to IUPUI Office of Admissions cannot be used.
Step 3: Submit Supplemental Application Materials.
Email the requested supplemental forms to the Histotechnology Program —in one packet—after completing the online application to IUPUI. Applicants can also mail supplemental materials to the Histotechnology Program at 635 Barnhill Drive MS A128, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
- Copy of Email confirmation from online application.
- Personal Statement, which must include applicant’s interest and aspirations in Histotechnology and why the applicant should be considered for the program.
- Letter of recommendation from applicant’s histology laboratory supervisor.
- Letter of recommendation from a supervising pathologist of the laboratory where clinical education will occur.
