Special Interests:

 

Dr. Relich is interested in all aspects of medical and public health microbiology, especially molecular diagnostics, infectious disease epidemiology and pathology, new test development, and pathogen discovery. Dr. Relich is actively involved in fellow, resident, and student teaching, and his research interests include evaluation of novel diagnostic products, elucidation of the molecular underpinnings of microbial and viral pathogenesis, and, especially, virology. Dr. Relich is a member of the In Vitro Diagnostics and Clinical Trials group, headed by Dr. Thomas E. Davis, and the Division of Clinical Microbiology Infectious Disease Pathology consultation service.
