Our efforts are focused on human renal neoplasia, especially epithelial neoplasia of the renal tubules. Immunohistochemistry, ultrastructural analysis, morphometry, and molecular biology methods are applied in order to define and characterize clinically relevant diagnostic entities and to study progression of the renal epithelia from normality to malignant neoplasia. Other renal systems under study include angiomyolipoma and Wilms' tumor and its precursors. Urothelial, prostatic, and testicular neoplasia also are areas of interest.
